Imagine scamming historians so hard your fake laws get taught in class — that’s commitment. Fast forward to 1998, and we had the iconic textbook scam that drained millions from public school funds.   KEY RED FLAGS OF FRAUDULENT, FAKE, or PREDATORY PUBLISHING COMPANY 🚩 1. They Ask for Upfront Payments (Disguised as “Packages”) Fraudulent publishers often: Charge authors high fees for “editing,” “marketing,” or “distribution.” Sell overpriced “publishing packages.” Claim your book must be edited by their team before being accepted.
